Lego Set Review: Droid Escape Pod
These are the droids you are looking for in the Lego Droid Escape Pod set.
Crash land on Tatooine and make a run for it. This set is very easy to build and is a blast to play with or display.
The build was smooth and very fun.
There are lots of stickers, and big ones at that, so take your time adding them.
It took about 25 minutes to put together, mainly because I kept having to center the stickers over again.
Here’s a look at the sticker sheet.
The set comes with the following items.
Mini-figures:
C3PO
R2-D2
Jawa x2
Accessory Pieces:
Ion Blaster 2x
Deathstar plans x1
Other:
Escape Pod
All together the set has 197 pieces.
Classic R2-D2 and C-3PO team up in this set to deliver the Death Star Plans.
And the Jawa's each have a different blaster weapon.
Now for the Escape Pod.
The escape pod opens from the sides.
The rear has 4 movable jets.
And the helm has a clear window.
Opening the pod shows seats for C-3PO and R2-D2.
There are 2 flaps with different stickers, one shows the star destroyer the pod just left behind.
The other shows where the pod is heading.
At the helm there is a steering column and map.
Which pops out tpo show the hidden Death Star plans.
C-3PO and R2-D2 fit perfectly inside.
For a rating I give this set 5 out of 5 bricks, it is fun and a perfect little Starwars set. I like I much better than the Droid Escape set from a few years back.
Help me R2-D2 you are my only hope.
