Volunteering at the Oakland A's Game
Today I volunteered at the Oakland A's game in Oakland, CA
Along with co-workers and the wives and girlfriends of the players, we collected donations on behalf of the Alameda County Food Bank.
The player's wives and girlfriend's were amazing and we raised more than our goal to help feed hungry families in the bay area California.
After spending hours volunteering we were rewarded with passes to the game.
I could not pass up the opportunity to take some Lego baseball shots of course. And people walking by were laughing and smiling seeing my little glove and bat.
And what's a game without snacks, nachos are my weakness at baseball games.
It was a rewarding day, and a lot of fun. I also volunteer for the San Francisco Zoo, which I will be posting about this May after the next event.
Volunteering is a big part of my family, I encourage everyone to volunteer in your home town. It is a great way to give back and if you have kids, a wonderful experience that will show them how rewarding it is to give back.
