Bedford Gallery: Personal to Political
From April 15th through June 24th the Bedford Gallery is showcasing Personal to Political: Celebrating the African American Artists of Paulson Fontaine Press.
Personal to Political features artists like Gee’s Bend Quilters, David Huffman, Kerry James Marshall, Martin Puryear and Lava Thomas.
There is a variety of paintings, sculptures and quilts and installations.
This piece 'Looking Forward' by Lava Thomas, was my favorite.
And before you leave you have to get something from the gift and art counter.
There are also plenty of pamphlets on this, and future shows along with volunteer information.
Be sure to visit the art before June 24th to see Personal to Political, and then the Bedford Gallery will be featuring one of my all time favorite female artists, The World of Frida!
